Evans Woman Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison For Check Fraud
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- An Evans woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for check fraud.
Estephana Rodriguez-Sandoval was sentenced to spend five years in the Department of Corrections for a series of check frauds.
According to police and court records, Rodriguez-Sandoval, 36, was arrested in March after a clerk at a local grocery store reported that a woman was trying to pass a forged paycheck.
Rodriguez-Sandoval was on probation for her conviction in another check forgery case at the time of her arrest.
She pleaded guilty May 25 to one count of fraud by check, series $1,000 or more and one count of check forgery. Rodriguez-Sandoval has a total of six felony convictions related to check fraud and theft.
