Euthanized Police Horse Had Symptoms Of Colic
DENVER (CBS4) - There is now an internal investigation into the death of a 10-year-old Denver police horse.
The horse, named, M.C. Hammer, spent time with the Denver Police Department since November of last year.
A police spokesperson says officers took the horse to a veterinary clinic with symptoms of colic on Tuesday.
Police decided it to put the animal down on Wednesday.
A tip to CBS4 raised concerns about abuse. A police spokesperson only says there is an investigation to see if any negligence was involved in the case.
