"I didn't see the accident happen. I heard the passenger, the girl scream… and I went inside the building, and I found the body," said Dog Holiday Grooming employee Olaf Brunson.

Another witness told CBS4 that a man was walking his bicycle across the street when a car traveling southbound on Broadway struck him. The witness said that man was thrown into the wall of a business.

A man was seen running from the overturned vehicle.

"As I was walking up to the building though, there was this kid who ran passed me. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but to my understanding, it was actually the driver fleeing the scene," said Brunson.

Two females inside the vehicle were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The car at the scene of the crash was on its roof and badly damaged. The building was also severely damaged in the crash. Several businesses are inside the building, including a locksmith and barbershop.

"He wasn't moving, he wasn't breathing, he wasn't making any noise... I could tell he was already dead on the spot, that he was probably killed on impact."

Broadway was closed to traffic during the crash investigation. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
