3 Pets Die In Trailer Fire In Empire
(CBS4) - Three pets died in a trailer fire in Empire on Friday. It happened early in the morning and the firefighting efforts were complicated by high winds.
A woman was reportedly still in the trailer after the fire broke out and was trying to unsuccessfully get the pets out.
The fire destroyed two trailers and a vehicle, and it damaged telephone poles and some trees.
It was contained by fire crews. What caused the fire is being investigated.
