Elitch Gardens Adding Massive Water Slide This Season
DENVER (CBS4) - Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park will have a new attraction for the upcoming season.
The park announced on Tuesday that it's adding SlideZilla, a monstrous water slide.
"The six-story water slide accelerates four riders through a curved chute and into a swirling 24-foot bowl before unexpectedly dropping 57 feet and then up into a massive four-story high tornado wave," the park said in a statement. "After cresting the fierce water wall, the riders slide into an exhilarating splashdown."
The park will also feature two new daily live shows -- Disney's "Octonauts" and "Conjure."
"Disney's Octonauts invite kids to join Captain Barnacles and Kwazii on a critical mission under the sea. This high-energy, interactive adventure will have your kids on the edge of their seats," the park said. "Conjure tells the lighthearted tale of a quirky magician who must, with the help of the audience, bring back his loving, bumbling assistant to perform the magic show of a lifetime."
Seven free concerts are slated at Elitch Gardens this summer along with five "Dive-In Movies."
A season pass for Elitch Gardens for the upcoming season is $69.99.
