Driver Arrested In Hit & Run That Injured Bicyclist
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Fort Collins have arrested the suspected driver in a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist injured.
The vehicle struck Emily Clark in an eastbound lane of Mulberry near Lemay Avenue about 11:20 p.m. Thursday. Clark, 26, was rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies with serious injuries.
Witnesses told police the driver sped away southbound on Lemay Avenue.
A short time later, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office received a call of a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Mulberry Street and Greenfield Court.
Deputies arrived at the intersection and located a 2013 Kia Rio that had been damaged a short distance away from the collision scene. The suspected driver, Kenneth LeJeune, 31, was arrested. He was not injured.
Investigators believe alcohol and/or drugs contributed to the collision.
