Denver Opens Rec Centers As 'Cooling Stations' During Friday's Heat Advisory
DENVER (CBS4)- With the heat advisory on Friday, the City of Denver has opened some recreation centers to the public to be used as cooling stations. The rec centers are open to the public free of charge to cool down from the heat.
All operating rec centers in Denver will be "fee-free" during regular business hours.
Libraries will also be available as a reprieve from the heat even though those buildings are not specifically designated as cooling stations.
