2 Critically Hurt In Officer-Involved Shooting

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver rushed to reports of an officer-involved shooting in the 200 block of S. Canosa Ct. Investigators say the shooting involved officers from other jurisdictions.

U.S. Marshals were attempting to contact two people in a vehicle on a federal arrest warrant for a probation violation near Federal Boulevard and Alameda Avenue.

Copter4 flew over the scene where several officers were patrolling the area. There was a vehicle that had been pinned between two other vehicles in front of a home.

Two people inside the vehicle were shot and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. No officers were injured.

Denver Police spokesman Doug Schepman said because it is a federal operation he doesn't have a lot of information.

Several blocks surrounding the scene of the shooting have been cordoned off.
