Denver Police Make Detour, Rescue Child From Fire
DENVER (CBS4) - Three Denver police officers are being praised for rescuing a child during a fire.
Earlier this month the officers were heading back to the district station when they saw smoke at a home on Forest Street, not far from East 35th Avenue and Dahlia Street.
When they got to the house, the homeowner said his daughter was still inside.
The officers found her in a bedroom and brought her to safety.
They had to be treated for smoke inhalation, but say it was worth it.
