Denver Police To Test Gunshot Detection System On Tuesday Night
DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Police Department is testing its gunshot detection system on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Those who hear gunshots may be hearing the testing.
Between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday, police will fire guns at nine locations around downtown Denver, including Civic Center Park and the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The system uses sensors to detect when a gun is fired and sends that location to 911 in less than a minute to speed up police response.
