Denver Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Struck Officer With Vehicle
DENVER (CBS4) - A man who allegedly struck an off duty police officer with his vehicle is facing several charges.
Police arrested Jeremy Irey, 25, for assault to a peace officer and felony vehicular eluding after the incident on Saturday night.
Investigators believe Irey drove away after striking the police officer at the Pepsi Center. That prompted a pursuit that ended with a crash on northbound Interstate 25 under I-70.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.
The officer suffered minor injuries.
