VIDEO: Denver Cop Breakdances With 7-Year-Old Boy On 16th Street Mall
DENVER (CBS4) - When 7-year-old Jayden Anthony put his breakdancing moves on display on the 16th Street Mall, he didn't know he'd have some serious competition from a Denver cop.
"My godson had the most unexpected experience at the 16th [Street] Mall this weekend," Morgan Lynch wrote on Facebook. "No one knew this police officer had moves like Jayden."
Officer Thanarat Phuvapaisalkij told CBS4 Jayden approached him and asked to take a photo in front of his motorcycle.
"His dad told him to come up to the motorcycle, and he does that freeze and I was like 'OK.' He dances a little bit so I thought it would be cool to throw down and show him some of my stuff, and we had a little exchange," Officer Phuvapaisalkij. "It was awesome, I love doing stuff like that."
Jayden's godmother encouraged people to share the video.
"Keep this going! ❤️ Focus on the good in this world!" she wrote.
Jayden's family said the encounter was about so much more than breakdancing.
"We see a lot of negative things out there in the media about police… so this is something that makes you smile when you see a police officer getting friendly, dancing, and just enjoying life," said Jayden's mother, Vanessa Marquez.
