Criminal Trail Against Xcel Reaches Halfway Point
DENVER (CBS4) - The criminal trial against Xcel Energy has reached the halfway point.
Prosecutors rested their case on Thursday and the defense will begin presenting evidence on Monday.
Xcel and its parent company are accused of workplace safety violations stemming from the deaths of five workers at a hydro-electric plant near Georgetown in 2007.
If convicted, each company would have to pay fines up to $2.5 million.
