Council Members Come Out Against Denver Impound Law
DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver City Councilman is fighting a law that allows police to impound a driver's car if they aren't carrying a drivers license.
Initiative 100 passed in 2008, requires drivers to pay thousands of dollars in fees to get their cars back.
Council members are banding together saying the law is unconstitutional.
The council will take up the issue on Monday.
The law could be repealed by July.
