Copper Thief Gets Prison Time
DENVER (CBS4) - One of the men who stole thousands of dollars worth of copper from light rail construction sites will spend the next five years behind bars.
Steven and Frankie Reynolds, who are brothers, both pleaded guilty after their arrest in January. Steven also received three years probation after this time behind bars. His brother will learn his sentence next month.
The stolen metal was valued at more than $9,000. The Regional Transportation District estimates it will cost about $250,000 to fix.
