Commerce City Resident Arrested In Mexico Slaying
DENVER (AP) - A man wanted for a 2007 shooting death in Chihuahua, Mexico has been arrested in Colorado.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced Wednesday that Samuel Marrufo-Ruiz was arrested at his home in Commerce City north of Denver on Tuesday. The 54-year-old is a lawful permanent United States resident. He's accused of pulling a handgun and shooting someone to death in the middle of a brawl between two families in September 2007.
An arrest warrant was issued for him in Colorado last month based on an extradition warrant issued by Mexico.
