Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Will Be Available In All 42 Colorado State Parks

(CBS4)- Now drivers in Colorado can recharge their vehicles while they recharge. The state is working to add electric vehicle charging stations at all 42 Colorado State Parks.

Gov. Jared Polis and company "Rivian" unveiled the first two stations on Friday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs.

Rivian will pay for the maintenance of all stations for up to 25 years.

Now available: 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Cheyenne Mountain state park ✅ We, alongside electric vehicle maker RivianOfficial, unveiled two Level 2 Rivian Waypoints electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Cheyenne Mountain state park today. The additional chargers offer park visitors the chance to enjoy the outdoors while using cleaner transportation options, helping to advance the state's climate change goals. This installation is part of a phased plan to install EV charging sites throughout the entire state, starting in the southeast region.
