Colorado Springs Teen Gets Prison Time In Fatal Shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A 19-year-old Colorado Springs man convicted of killing a stranger during a drive-by shooting that also injured another man has been sentenced to life plus 32 years in prison.

Jordan Ellis was sentenced Wednesday.

He was convicted in April of killing 26-year-old Christopher Harmon of Colorado Springs and wounding Harmon's friend Nicholas Artist outside a Walmart in 2010.

Prosecutors had said former Fort Carson Spc. Frank Lee Miller had handed Ellis a loaded pistol and ordered him to kill either Harmon or Artist. Miller is serving a life sentence without parole for his role in the shootings.
