Colorado Springs Hardest Hit City In Nation By Shutdown
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The city hardest hit by the shutdown isn't Washington, D.C. -- it's actually Colorado Springs.
According to the Washington Post, nearly 19 percent of the Colorado Springs workforce has federal jobs. That compares to 14 percent of the U.S. Capital region.
Colorado Springs is home to five military installations, including the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson and NORAD.
