Colorado Parks & Wildlife Puts Voluntary Fishing Closure In Place On Colorado River
KREMMLING, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking people to voluntarily avoid fishing on the Colorado River between Kremmling and Rifle.
Heat, drought and low water levels are contributing to warmer water temperatures which deplete oxygen levels and leaves trout vulnerable.
The voluntary fishing closure starts Wednesday and could turn into a mandatory emergency closure if conditions get worse.
