Colorado Native Honored During 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4)- Friends, family and members of the community gathered to remember those killed in the 9/11 attacks at the Broomfield Amphitheater.
The family of Colorado native and 9/11 victim, Chris Faughnan, attended the memorial ceremony to pay tribute.
"We gather here because we share a bond, we share a bond as a family, as a community and as Americans," said Chris Faughnan's brother Michael. "We pause this morning to reflect on the moment's of Sept. 11, 2001. The horrible tragedy that day has had a lasting effect on all of us."
Faughnan's son was presented the flag and a ceremonial bell was rung to remember each of the three sites attacked on that day 13 years ago.
