Colorado National Guard Troops Deploy To Pacific
DENVER (CBS4)- Members of the Colorado National Guard said goodbye to loved ones over the weekend as they prepared to deploy to Japan.
A total of 250 airmen and women, including 12 fighter pilots, were deployed to Japan.
The guard members prepared the aircraft, including six f-16s, before takeoff.
They're joining a security force that will help keep peace and deter threats in the Pacific.
The U.S. military has been routinely moving troops in and out of the area since 2014.
