Christmas Tree Recycling Begins In Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - Tree-cycling in Denver begins Monday for Christmas trees. The exact details depend on the type of trash service:
Manual & Cart Service customers: trees are collected on your regular trash collection day. Set trees out by 7 a.m. where trash bins are usually placed.
Dumpster Service customers: set trees on your side of the alley by 7 a.m. Monday Jan. 4 or Monday Jan. 11 and trees will be removed that week.
Everyone is required to remove all decorations, lights, and the tree stand before disposal. The tree can then be set out for collection between Jan. 4 and Jan. 15.
Trees should not be placed in carts or dumpsters, and should be at least 2 feet from containers, cars, and other obstacles.
Free mulch can be reclaimed, made from the disposed Christmas trees, at the annual mulch giveaway and compost sale in the spring.
