Colorado Department Of Transportation Adds More Passing Lanes To Busy Stretch Of U.S. 287
HUGO, Colo. (CBS4)- The Colorado Department of Transportation began work to add four new and two improved passing lanes on U.S. 287 and Highway 40. The project is between Hugo and the Cheyenne/Kiowa County line.
The route is heavily traveled by motorists and freight drivers delivering the area's agricultural products. The project stretches 70 miles.
The passing lanes will increase safety and mobility along the busy stretch of roadway. CDOT anticipates the work will be completed by December.
