CDOT: Breathalyzer Study A Success

DENVER (CBS4)- The Colorado Department of Transportation said that a study over the summer of breathalyzers was a success.

CDOT employees handed out the devices to more than 220 people over the summer. Eighty-four percent said the breathalyzers lowered their risk for a DUI.

The average blood alcohol level among the group was more than .08 percent. Colorado DUI law prohibits a person from driving when they have a concentration of .08 percent or more alcohol in their blood system.
