Case Of Extreme Domestic Violence Under Investigation In Garfield County

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo (CBS4) A Glenwood Springs man is charged with first degree murder for the death of a 24-year-old woman.

Police were called to the Pinon Pines apartments at 7:45 on Friday evening on reports of a possible homicide. Officers found the body of the 24-year-old, who has not been identified pending notification of family.

Investigators identified Gustavo Olivo-Tellez as the primary suspect in what they call a case of extreme domestic violence.

Olivo-Tellez was wanted on a previous domestic violence warrant. SWAT officers apprehended Olivo-Tellez after 8:00 on Saturday morning.

Police are not saying how Olivo-Tellez knew the dead woman.
