Car Stuck On Median Caused Backups On I-25
DENVER (CBS4)- A car stuck on the median on Interstate 25 near Colfax Avenue caused traffic backups during Thursday evening's commute.
Firefighters and wreckers surrounded the accident at 5:15 p.m. While the car was removed by a tow truck that could lift the car off the median barrier, several lanes were closed.
Traffic investigators said the driver ran into and then became wedged on top of the Jersey Barrier.
It appears that only one car is involved but it caused backups for seven miles in each direction of I-25.
Northbound the backups stretch to Evans Avenue and southbound the backups can be seen to the Boulder Turnpike.
Police did not have any specific information about injuries to the driver.
