Call For Trump To Drop Out Of Race Grows Louder
DENVER (CBS4) In the wake of the release of a video in which Donald Trump makes vulgar comments about women, more Republicans are calling for him to step down as presidential nominee.
Republican senators from Arizona, South Dakota, and Colorado are demanding Trump drop out of the race.
The Republican Presidential nominee admitted that he's not perfect in a n apology posted on Facebook on Friday night.
"I pledge to be a better man tomorrow and will never, ever let you down," Trump said in the apology video
He's facing an uproar after the Washington Post released a video in which Trump was recorded without his knowledge during a studio lot bus ride in 2005.
Now a growing list of Republicans are withdrawing support from the nominee. House speaker Paul Ryan dis-invited the nominee from a Republican rally in Wisconsin on Saturday, and said he was sickened by his comments.
"I meant what I said and it's still how I feel," Ryan said at the rally.
Ohio Senator Rob Portman, New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayoto, Arizona Senator John McCain join Colorado Senator Cory Gardner, and Colorado Representative Mike Coffman in calling for Trump to step aside in the Presidential race.
Trump has tweeted that he will "never drop out of the race and let his supporters down."
