Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning Teams Up With Papa John's

DENVER (CBS4)- Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning is teaming up with Papa John's Pizza.

Manning is teaming up as a spokesman and a franchise owner.

His first job is recording commercials with Papa John's founder.

Then he'll open 21 of the pizza joints in the Denver metro area. When those stores will open has not been announced.

Manning, a spokesman for the Louisville, Ky.-based pizza chain since last year, will own the restaurants in partnership with Papa John's.

Manning's latest Papa John's commercial with John Schnatter, the founder, chairman and CEO of the company will air Oct. 28 during NBC's "Sunday Night Football" broadcast of the game between the Broncos and the New Orleans Saints.

Manning says he's always enjoyed Papa John's Pizza.
