Broncos' Elvis Dumervil Arrested In Miami
MIAMI (CBS4) - Denver Broncos star defensive end Elvis Dumervil was arrested in Miami Saturday night.
According to the police report Dumervil is accused of aggravated assault with a firearm. His bond was set at $7,500.
Police haven't released any information about what led to his arrest.
CBS4's Vic Lombardi spoke to Dumervil's attorney, Harvey Steinberg. He said no charges were filed and no assault took place. He said he was reserving further comment until the investigation is complete.
Dumervil is a Miami native.
Dumervil led the league in 2009 with 17 sacks and in 2010 he signed a $61.5 million contract extension before he suffered a torn pectoral muscle and missed the entire season.
Last season Dumervil started 14 games and tallied 9.5 sacks.
