Broncos Announce First Round Of Cuts
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS/The Sports Xchange) - The Broncos parted ways with 11 players on Monday, leaving them with four more moves to make before Tuesday's league-mandated deadline of 75 players.
Safety Brandian Ross and wide receiver DeVier Posey were among the cuts. Ross has played 45 games with the Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers since the start of the 2012 season while Posey caught 22 passes in 26 games for the Houston Texans after they drafted him in the third round of the 2012 draft.
The other players released: tight end Manasseh Garner, safety Antonio Glover, defensive lineman Calvin Heurtelou, tackle Cameron Jefferson, nose tackle David Moala, wide receiver Durron Neal, linebacker Darnell Sankey, linebacker Frank Shannon and offensive lineman Mathu Gibson.
On Saturday by 2 p.m., teams must cut their rosters down to the final 53 players.
