OAKLAND, Calif. (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - The Denver Broncos lead the Oakland Raiders 9-6 after the third quarter.
Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, who was carted off the field in the second quarter, was ruled out for the rest of the game. Ware leads the Broncos with 4 1/2 sacks. Cornerback Aqib Talib's return to the game is questionable after an ankle injury.
On the Raiders first drive the second half the Broncos defense once again came through and Von Miller forced a Derek Carr fumble that he recovered. But the Raiders had another strong defensive stand and Denver had to settle for another Brandon McManus field goal to pull the Broncos within a point, 7-6.
With 6:29 left in the third quarter the Broncos retook the lead on a booming McManus 57-yard field goal.
On the Broncos' next possession Charles Woodson intercepted a Peyton Manning pass for the second time of the game.
