Boy Killed By Car In Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Suffered Head Injuries
DENVER (CBS4) - A family of three was crossing the street at the intersection of South University Boulevard and East Ohio Avenue in Denver's Bonnie Brae neighborhood on Friday when they were hit by a car.
Tiffanie Strasser had both her children, 3-year-old Austin and 6-year-old Audrey, in the stroller when she was crossing the street. A car turned left and hit them in the crosswalk.
Austin Strasser had severe injuries to his head from the accident, and was taken to the Children's Hospital Colorado. The swelling of his brain could not be controlled and he died Saturday. His mother and sister had some scrapes and bruises but were not seriously injured.
