Bond Set At $50,000 In Tow Truck Driver Hit & Run Case
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Prosecutors call the man accused in the hit-and-run death of a tow truck driver an "extreme threat to society."
Bond for Zachariah Dobler was set at $50,000 after a video appearance in Jefferson County court on Monday.
Investigators say Dobler was driving the SUV that hit and killed a tow truck driver early Sunday morning.
Dobler allegedly left the scene but was caught a few blocks away.
He has a long list of prior traffic offenses, including DUIs.
The victim, Alan Dilley, worked for Connolly Towing.
His family says he had been driving tow trucks for more than 15 years.
A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for Dilley Thursday at 8 p.m. at 58th and Wadsworth (the scene of the accident)
