Body Found In Trunk Of Car In Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) -- A body was found in the trunk of a car in Jefferson County, the sheriff's office said Thursday evening.
Officials said a death investigation was underway outside the Whisper Creek apartments at 3505 South Nelson Circle at 6 p.m.
Officials said a person walking by noticed a foul odor and called police.
After a search warrant was obtained, investigators found the body in the trunk.
A white Ford Focus was being loaded onto a flat-bed truck when our crews were at the scene at about 7 p.m.
"We're in the early stages of this investigation & more info will be released when we have it," the sheriff's office said on Twitter.
