1 Suspect Vehicle Found In Deadly Bicycle Hit & Run In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police have found one suspect vehicle wanted in a deadly hit-and-run that left a bicyclist dead in Aurora overnight. Police say they found a man unresponsive near South Buckley Road and East Mexico Avenue. Investigators determined he was hit by at least one vehicle.

Authorities closed the southbound lanes of South Buckley Road at approximately 3 a.m. from East Iliff Avenue to East Mexico Avenue while officers investigated the crash. Those lanes remained closed during the Wednesday morning commute.

Police say with the help of an alert citizen, they were able to track down the suspect vehicle in the area of E. Quincy Avenue and S. Memphis Street in Aurora. Officers continue to search for a second vehicle that struck the victim after the initial suspect vehicle. The second suspect vehicle is described as a 2001-2003 Honda Civic, 2-door, that may have front left damage and may be missing the left front inner fender liner.
