Authorities Say 7 Victims Escape Following Home Invasion
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says seven people are safe following a home invasion and two suspects are in custody.
Spokeswoman Jackie Kirby said dispatchers got repeated 911 hang-up calls from a home on Saturday and heard a woman crying.
The SWAT team went into the home and rescued four people. Three others escaped from a detached garage.
Kirby says one suspect was taken to a hospital for an unspecified medical condition, and another was arrested at a different location. Kirby says investigators do not know if the suspects and victims are related.
Nearby roads were closed down for several hours.
