FEDERAL HEIGHTS (CBS4) - An Amber Alert was issued late Thursday for two children who disappeared from a bus stop in Federal Heights.

Police are asking for people to be on the lookout for a maroon 1997 Mercury sedan.

Celena Romero, 11, and her brother Charlie, 7, are both missing.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the children disappeared from a bus stop in the 9400 block of Elm Court in Federal Heights on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators believe the children were taken by their mother, Tammy Anne Rees-Romero, and her boyfriend.

The vehicle has Colorado plate 618-SZM.

Anyone with information is asked to call Federal Heights police.
