2 Women Arrested In Douglas County Slayings
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) -- Two more people are now accused in connection with the slayings of a man and his sister-in-law in Douglas County.
Authorities said Monday that two women were arrested last week on suspicion of being accessories. Krystal Kurcz, 21, and Megan Cassidy, 22, were released after posting bond.
The bodies of Amara Wells, 39, and her brother-in-law, Robert Rafferty, 49, were found in his home on Feb. 23. They were stabbed and shot in what authorities believe was a double murder-for-hire situation.
Investigators believe Rafferty's wife was also an intended target but was out-of-town at the time.
Four men have been charged with murder in the slayings, including Christopher Wells, 38, the estranged husband of Amara Wells.
Documents relating to the case have been sealed and investigators haven't released any details about the allegations.
