Tim Mapes, former Madigan aide, convicted of perjury, attempted obstruction
Tim Mapes, the longtime chief of staff to former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan, was convicted Thursday on charges he lied under oath to a grand jury to protect his old boss.
