Son charged in killing of parents in Sycamore, Illinos

A family member had called police for a welfare check after not hearing from 60-year-old Gary and 59-year-old Holly Schmidt. Their son, 35-year-old Kevin Schmidt, who lived in the home with them, is now facing first-degree murder charges.
