Off-duty Chicago police officer possibly shot in Irving Park East
An off-duty Chicago police officer was taken to the hospital after being caught in gun crossfire and possibly hit in the Irving Park East neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon. There was a heavy police presence in the 3600 block of North Elston Avenue near a Jiffy Lube. It was not immediately clear what the circumstances of the shooting were.
