Medical aid in dying debate in Illinois awaits governor's decision

Illinois could soon join a growing list of states where terminally ill patients would be allowed to take life-ending medication prescribed by a doctor. Legislation to allow "medical aid in dying" has been passed by state lawmakers and awaits a decision from Gov. JB Pritzker.
