Holy Name Cathedral parishioners hope Pope Leo XIV brings sense of global unity

It was an emotional day at Holy Name Cathedral as Chicago native Cardinal Robert Prevost was named as the new pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Pope Leo XIV, as he will now be known, is also the first American pope. The news brought great joy to those gathered at Holy Name Cathedral for mass.
