CTA Red Line extension project secures nearly $2 billion in federal funds

It’s a project that’s been in the works for years, and on Friday it took a huge step forward. The CTA signed an agreement securing nearly $2 billion in federal funding for its ambitious project to extend the Red Line nearly 6 miles further south.
