City Council approves Mayor Brandon Johnson’s controversial $830 million infrastructure plan

The City Council on Wednesday narrowly approved an $830 million bond deal to finance infrastructure projects. On the surface, it sounds great for Chicago; new money to repair crumbling streets, rusted light poles, and bad bridges.
