Chicago homeowner describes sight of plane's emergency slide falling onto his yard

An emergency evacuation slide fell off of a plane and into a Northwest Side neighborhood on Monday. Patrick Devitt, the homeowner whose property the slide fell into, said he heard a loud boom outside. The slide caused some damage to plants, but otherwise, no one was hurt.
