Chicago City Council to vote on more migrant funding, effort to keep ShotSpotter

The Chicago City Council is expected to vote Wednesday on two issues that have been hotly debated the past few months. The first is $70 million in additional funding to address the city’s migrant crisis, the second is a bid to keep ShotSpotter in place in some wards after Mayor Brandon Johnson moved to end the city’s contract for the controversial gunshot detection system.
