Chicago City Council committee approves new teen curfew proposal

A controversial plan for “snap curfews” in a bid to curb teen takeovers took a key step forward on Tuesday. The City Council Public Safety Committee voted 10-7 to give police power to impose 3-hour curfews on as little as 30 minutes’ notice.
