An Illinois state representative has publicly raised the possibility that Chicago police officers might be the ones responsible for the unsolved murders of black youths in Chicago.
Andre Bunton, 37, was sitting in a car in the 200 block of East 16th Place about 11:25 p.m. when shots were fired and at least one bullet struck him in the chest.
The shooting happened in the 600 block of East 73rd Street about 9:20 p.m.
The most recent shooting occurred in South Chicago, when two people were wounded by gunfire in the 8000 block of South Manistee Avenue about 6:35 a.m.
